About the Author
Carolan Sherman, RN, BSN, CST is the director of the surgical technologist program at Bergan Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. The program at Bergen is the only one in its state to be nationally accredited. She was personally recommended by Nancy Allmersm, who is the outgoing author from multiple previous editions.
Mary Chmielewski, CST is a professor in the surgical technologist program at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey.

Just make sure you go over everything and take the practice tests and you will be fine.

Took the CST exam this afternoon and passed with flying colors! (the 1st and only time) Haven't scrubbed in for about 4 years now but the test was not as scary as I thought it would be. Everything covered in the book is on the test but not in exact form. If you purchase this book it is well worth it. Just make sure you go over everything and take the practice tests and you will be fine.

Take this test to pass the CST exam

I passed my NCCT surgical Technologist Exam on the first try with 89%. Only used this book, great book , great Cd, love the customizable tests and reference. Use this study guide, research areas you are weak in. I scheduled tests only 3 weeks prior . Broke down the amount of pages I needed to cover each day, tests myself after each section or 2. Took a complete big tests at the end. Took my exam and passed.

When studying for the CST make sure you use all of your study options available because questions come from EVERYWHERE! (trust me) This book had some very helpful questions!
