Timeless classic of fantasy

I first read this book decades ago and re-read it at least once per year. My paperback is practically falling apart so when I saw there was a reasonably priced kindle edition I jumped on it. Sure it's getting a little dated but it's a great fun read with fairies, goblins, elementals, romance and plenty of fantasy. I would love nothing more than for someone make a movie based on the book.

This is the kind of hauntingly beautiful story that stays with you, years after you read it. Urban fantasy of the classic kind -- human finds himself suddenly dealing with elves. If you haven't read it, you need to! When it comes to urban fantasy, only the Bedlam's Bard and SERRAted Edge series are in the same class.

A creative combining of 'worlds'

This was the first Marion Zimmer Bradley book that I read. I was fascinated with the way she blended the different 'worlds'. It is a very well written book and kept me captivated to the end. I am not a fantasy game player but even though this was part of the story, it didn't put me off. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and went on to read The Mist of Avalon series.

Confusing too soon

Certainly this man knows what HE is doing but shortly into the book he begins to feel I should know what all he has explained thus far. NOT exactly.
The book is written for 4.6 and I have 4.7, there are some subtle differences that I was able to figure out and this is my FIRST time ever at anything like this.... period! College classes in Auto-Cad and electronic components have actually helped here and unless you know these examples that statement will make no sense at all. As in college, some Professors can teach and others just 'talk at you'. His explanations of certain things are hard to grasp if at all.
Anyway, for the money, I am on my own 3 days into the book trying to get a handle on where he lost me in the "blueprints of the camera system". Until I get this figured out I am on my own in one very massive and powerful program.

If you have experience in this you may be fine but I am going to hope for a more comprehensive book to appear soon.

Poorly organized, difficult to follow in many places and the author often does not explain the reason or purpose of a section before going I to the details and procedures. Not a book worth buying. He also needs to avoid annoying boastful and self-glorifying comments that irritate the reader and waste a lot of time! Layout and presentation is also amateurish and unprofessional... You will probably get frustrated trying to follow what he is trying to explain...

Comprehensive in easy informative bites

Very informative and easy-to-absorb summary of modern media.
Summaries go over the main points and the text covers the concepts and events well. The illustrations are modern and informative as well.
I've read many books on the subject in college and during my career in media and this is the most pleasurable to consume.

I am so excited about this book!

My daughter has been on a GFCF diet for four years and is now mainstreamed and in Kindergarten. You would have no idea she was diagnosed on the spectrum when she was three. I hated taking her to parties because there was never any food she could have. This book has been revolutionary for us. We can now deviate from the diet! She loves string cheese and soft bread. She is still on the diet at school but we can allow for deviations at home, and no negative effects so far! Very helpful information on how, when and what type of enzymes to take, how much, how long they last, dealing with the school, etc. I am so glad for this book!
